FDM Release Notes v2019.09

Release 2019.12

[IN DEVELOPMENT: set Release date December 2019] This release includes changes to both FDM Client and FDM API.

Fixes:

Major Changes:

‘Show dashboards at top’ functionality of object types was redundant and is now removed.

Added option in object type to hide any objects of the type from the navigation tree. The objects will still be related, but will not show in the tree hierarchy.
There is a new capability to show these objects in the dashboard of the parent in a grid style. This can reduce the number of items shown in navigation trees and also clear away lower priority objects, reducing clutter when looking for objects visually.

Added Schemas to object types. These allow specific information to be captured for all objects of a type.

Added Forms for objects based on their schema.

Added object grid widget for displaying child objects in list form.

Added ‘Summarisation’ capability to object types. This allows key information to be pre-processed to improve performance on large sets of objects with data.

Added an option to run the thread scheduler from within an FDM software installation instead of just via the FDM Hub processing middleware.
This is achieved by adding ‘scriptschedulerenabled=1’ into the fdm.properties file for the installation you want to execute the process on.
